Oliver Czarnetta
Trained as a stonemason, Oliver Czarnetta later studied art history and philosophy—foundations that continue to shape his sculptural practice.
In the early 2000s, he created a series of sculptures focused on the outer form of the human head. But surface alone wasn't enough. With his ongoing SPEKTRUM series, begun in 2006, Czarnetta turns inward—treating the head as a space of memory, secrets, and layered narrative.
Cast in transparent resin, his sculptures often reveal inner chambers or ghostly silhouettes suspended within, inviting the viewer to reflect on identity, time, and perception.
His works feel both architectural and psychological—objects of quiet tension and haunting beauty.
